  • Challenge

The Federal Ministry for the Environment has a wealth of data at its disposal. However, the data on environmental protection, climate change, mobility and much more is often difficult to understand for laypeople. We are therefore faced with the challenge of preparing the data in a clear way and at the same time putting environmental policy issues into comprehensible stories—because these issues concern everyone.

  • Results

The microsite "Werte Umwelt" bundles 20 environmental stories. Readers can quickly find topics via an intuitive content wheel. Each environmental topic is presented in an easily accessible way: Text, interactive infographics and illustrations alternate. In this way, readers understand environmental policy content, developments and interrelationships from fashion to mobile telephony.

Lifting the treasure trove of data

We explore the sources and data. What can we use for a story in the end? In a joint workshop with the BMU, we let the data inspire us. Step by step, we filter out topic areas. With the help of user interviews, we create personas and describe the user journey.
