  • Challenge

    The Berlin Wall Foundation has a clear aim with its mission to bring the history of the Berlin Wall to life. Our task was to create a way to experience that history visually, in the very places where it was written. The aim was to use modern, interactive storytelling for historical data.

  • Results

    We developed a comprehensive visual storytelling program with maps, diagrams, data visualisation, and 3D designs. Our augmented reality prototype enhanced real-life situations, helping the Berlin Wall Foundation to reach the young visitor group of “generation smartphone”.

Our designers, researchers, and cartographers analyzed every detail of the borderline. With the help of aerial photographs, drawings, and photographic material, they visualize buildings, surroundings, and the course of the Berlin Wall with pinpoint accuracy—and create the basis for our AR prototype.
